Position Summary The Licensed Customs Broker will oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the import/export operations team, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company policies. This individual will hold a valid U.S. Customs Broker License and will be responsible for maintaining compliance. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Customs Compliance & Brokerage Act as the company's licensed customs broker of record, ensuring all import/export activities meet U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations. Oversee and review customs entries, classifications, valuation, PGA requirements, and related filings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CBP regulations and advise management on compliance issues. Ensure adherence to C-TPAT, FMC, and other regulatory programs. Client Service & Business Support Provide subject matter expertise to clients on customs regulations, tariff classifications, and entry processes. Support the sales team in client acquisition by providing technical guidance on customs and compliance matters. Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally. ________________________________________ Qualifications Active and valid U.S. Customs Broker License (required). Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or logistics operations Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, HTS classification, valuation, free trade agreements, and PGA requirements. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in customs brokerage software (ABI systems), Microsoft Office Suite, and logistics management tools.
