full-time Robert Half Executive Search has been exclusively retained to identify aDirector of Finance & Accounting for a well-established, independent creative services organization. This is a highly visible, hands-on finance leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with the executive leadership team. The Director will lead the organization's accounting and financial operations while serving as a strategic advisor on financial performance, profitability, forecasting, pricing, resource planning, and long-term business decisions. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of a ccounting leadership and strategic finance experience, with the ability to operate comfortably at both the executive and hands-on level.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, and GAAP compliance Own annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Provide analysis and insight around revenue, profitability, utilization, labor costs, and client performance Partner with leadership on pricing, staffing, resource planning, and operational efficiencies Oversee cash flow, treasury, payroll, tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and internal controls Develop financial models, dashboards, and performance metrics to support business decisions Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team Lead and develop the Finance & Accounting function while continuing to improve processes and controls

Background:

12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience 5+ years in a senior finance leadership capacity Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA strongly preferred Experience within an advertising, creative, marketing, media, or professional services environment strongly preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP, FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, treasury, payroll, tax compliance, and internal controls Experience with project-based financial metrics such as revenue forecasting, utilization, labor planning, project/client profitability, and resource planning Strong executive presence with the ability to translate financial information into clear business recommendations This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys being close to the business and wants to have a meaningful voice in both financial and operational decision-making.
