accounting treatments, SEC/financial disclosures, and international consolidations. This high-visibility role requires a hands-on leader to own technical policy documentation, direct global financial statement preparation, and navigate intricate accounting transactions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of progressive experience rooted in public accounting or large public company environments.Key Responsibilities Technical Accounting & Policy:
Research, evaluate, and process complex technical accounting transactions (e.g., M&A, revenue recognition, lease accounting). Author technical memos, establish company-wide accounting policies, and ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX internal controls.Financial Reporting & Consolidations:
Lead the preparation and review of global consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures, and SEC-level footnote support. Collaborate with international teams on multi-currency consolidations and foreign exchange impact analysis.Audit & Governance:
Manage internal and external audit processes for quarterly reviews and annual audits, driving resolution on technical accounting matters and audit requests.M&A & Strategic Projects:
Drive seamless accounting integration for newly acquired businesses and lead continuous process improvements across the reporting function.Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate direct reports and accounting staff, fostering professional development across the corporate reporting team.qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred. Minimum 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct exposure to Big 4 or large regional public accounting firms.Technical Expertise:
Advanced, up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, technical policy drafting, and SEC disclosure rules. Strong foundational knowledge of SOX controls.Systems & Analytics:
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, modeling, pivot tables); experience with reporting and ERP platforms (e.g., Workiva, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.Leadership & Drive:
Self-motivated leader with a proven ability to manage complex reporting deadlines, partner cross-functionally, and direct teams through organizational growth.skills:
