As active members of the National Roofing Partners (NRP) and the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), we are a nationally recognized leader in the roofing industry with annual sales nearing $177 million. Responsibilities and Duties Consolidates monthly results from operations Oversees all business accounting resources to ensure consistent accounting methodologies are utilized throughout the company Leads the annual budgeting process Assembles the monthly and quarterly reporting books for management Hands-on management of all aspects of the accounting function of the organization to ensure credibility by providing timely and accurate financial reporting, account analysis, and account reconciliations and other management reports on a timely basis. Develop, implement, and manage a system of accounting policies and procedures Provide thorough analysis of business performance to accompany results and reports Implement a full suite of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be utilized in the business to track performance on the highest priority initiatives Ensure proper cost allocation models are developed and maintained throughout the organization Identify areas for efficiency improvement throughout the organization and dedicate attention to the highest impact opportunities Responsibility for A/R, A/P and payroll functions, as well as recording of transactions and adjusting entries and tracking jobs in progress on the percentage of completion method Constantly maintain cash flow projection and oversee cash management including Customer communications and collections Maintain a system of internal control policies and procedures to ensure (1) compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local laws and rules for financial and tax reporting, (2) safeguarding corporate assets and (3) assurance that reporting systems accurately capture all financial data Supervise / Review the work of others Qualifications and Skills BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 5+ years overall hands-on accounting and supervisory experience Strong experience with the construction process and the related specialized accounting and job costing practices (POC) Experience with ERP and Accounting software program implementations Excellent technical skills in accounting including experience with payroll, purchasing, cash flow management Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Strong overall technology skills and proficiency in Excel and Word; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills Results oriented, high level of personal integrity and dependability and a strong sense of urgencySimilar jobs in Fort Myers, FL
