We are currently seeking a Director , Accounting & Ad visory within the Financial Advisory and Technical C e nter of Exc ellen ce in McKesson's Corporate segment. The Director will lead a t eam responsible f or ensur ing accu rate financial rep orting, providin g t ech nical a ccounting guidanc e, supp orting bu s iness tran sformat ion initiati ves and p artn ering with senior l eaders to a ddress comple x acc ounting ma tters an d busin ess deci sions. The role serves as the primary finance leader supporting Corp orate leadershi p and oversight of re sult s through pr esen tation of financial results, and commu nication of key bu siness risk s and i ssues . In addition to strong technical accounting capabilities, this role requires a leader who demonstrates initiative, drives accountability, develops talent, embraces change and consistently delivers results while fostering a positive and collaborative culture. What You'll Do T ec hnical Accou nting & C lose Lead ership Research complex accounting matters, develop technical accounting positions, and document conclusions in accordance with applicable accounting guidance. Lead accounting oversight for complex a reas such as captive insurance, equity investments, hedging, share-based compensation, restructuring, international accounting and other strategic transactions. Ensure timely and accurate accounting conclusions, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules while maintaining high standards of financial reporting quality and control. Support forecasting and budgeting process by working with key stakeholders as well as provide counsel and insights into financial results, forecasts, and risks. Bus ines s partners hip & A dvi sory Partner with Corporate FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR and business leadership on strategic initiatives and accounting implications. Engage in various other ad-hoc projects or initiatives & work effectively in a high growth environment - inclu ding cross-functional team management roles . Provide accounting guidance for acquisitions, restructurings, financing arrangements and other significant transactions. Present accounting conclusions, risks and recommendations to senior executives. Leadership an d Trans formation Lead , develop, and mentor a team of accounting professionals through recruiting, retention, coaching, performance management and succession planning. Build o rganizat ion al ca pability thr ough succession planning and t alen t dev elopment. Gov ernance, Contro ls & Risk Man agement Mai ntain effe ctive intern al contr ols and su pport SO X compli ance activi ties . Iden tify a nd miti gate financial reporting risks wh ile ensuring complianc e with a pplica ble ac counting s tandar ds and compan y po lic ies. Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and reporting practices to enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance. Minimum Requirements 12 years of progres sive account ing, financ e, audi t or advisor y expe rience 5 + years of leadershi p expe rienc e managing teams an d devel oping ta lent Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline Exp erience leading c omplex account ing mat ters in a lar ge pub lic company or public a ccounting en vironment Experience worki ng in a co mplex m atri xed org anization Critical Skil ls Strong technical accounting expertise and application of
