Job Description

Job description: Due to unexpected and positive growth, we are expanding our team and adding several new positions! Grandma Hoerner's is seeking a Director of Accounting to join our accounting team. This role oversees daily accounting operations and staff. Key duties include managing monthly closings, general ledger, bank reconciliations, invoicing, accounts receivable, and payroll. Ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains internal controls, and supports compliance with GAAP and financial institution requirements.
Essential Functions:
Preparation of annual budget Coordinate the preparation of annual tax return with outside CPA firm Manage process to record transactions by department and compare costs incurred to budget and performance analysis of profit and margins Record journal entries to reflect the monthly activity Preparation of monthly financial statements with supporting data and reconciled month end balances Analytical review of monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective system for timely reporting of comprehensive job costs for each order fulfilled Analytical review and weekly reporting of production activities and relationship to cash flow Preparation of year-to-date cash flow analysis Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances Preparation of monthly forecasts incorporating historical results and future assumptions Maintain fixed asset records and associated depreciation expense Pay rate based on experience and qualifications
