Key Responsibilities:

Direct and oversee all property accounting operations, including General Ledger management, monthly accruals, prepaids, and journal entries. Oversee property billing and revenue management operations, specifically managing and auditing Ratio Utility Billing Systems (RUBS) calculations and utility allocations. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) workflows specific to multi-family/property portfolios. Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members, establishing clear performance expectations and daily operational workflows. Oversee month-end close processes, financial reporting, and ensure compliance with relevant property accounting standards and internal policies. Partner closely with executive leadership, including the VP of Revenue & Operations and the Chief Financial Officer, to align financial strategies with operational goals. Maintain and optimize financial software systems (such as Yardi), ensuring accurate data tracking across properties, units, and portfolios. Monitor cash flow, manage budgeting processes, and assist with financial forecasting and annual audit preparations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation is a plus). Demonstrated experience in a Controller, Director of Accounting, or similar senior property accounting leadership role. Proficiency and hands-on experience with Yardi software. Strong hands-on experience with property accounting cycles, monthly accruals, and RUBS administration. Strong knowledge of property management accounting, multi-entity accounting structures, and financial compliance. Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
