Job Summary RD Industries is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance & Accounting to lead the organization's financial operations and support long-term business growth. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to provide operational and strategic financial leadership. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting while partnering closely with the CFO and business leaders across the organization. Your work will help drive sound financial decision-making, strengthen operational performance, and support the company's continued success. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Business Partnership Lead all finance and accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost accounting, cash management, and financial analysis. Provide actionable financial insights that support pricing strategies, profitability improvements, capital investments, and operational initiatives. Manage the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and management dashboards. Partner with executive leadership and department leaders to align financial priorities with business objectives. Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency. Support strategic initiatives and organizational growth through data-driven analysis and planning. Accounting & Financial Reporting Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and cost accounting functions. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and documentation practices. Lead external audits, tax compliance activities, and regulatory financial reporting requirements. Manufacturing Finance & Cost Accounting Provide financial leadership for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Partner with Operations and Engineering to ensure accurate bills of materials (BOMs), labor standards, and production costing assumptions. Oversee inventory control processes and costing methodologies that support both financial accuracy and operational effectiveness. Review and approve standard cost updates and costing adjustments. Banking, Audit & Risk Management Serve as the primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, insurance partners, and regulatory agencies. Support treasury management, debt covenant reporting, and financial risk mitigation efforts. Assist with evaluating the financial impact of employee benefit programs and other organizational initiatives. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team through coaching, performance management, and professional development. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Promote strong partnerships between Finance and cross-functional teams throughout the organization. What We're Looking for Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Seven or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting and/or finance teams. Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business analysis. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system. Strong background in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting. What Makes You Successful Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
