Job Description
Savard is hiring a CPA in Baton Rouge, LA Savard is seeking an experienced CPA to provide hands-on accounting leadership, financial reporting, and support for the company's accounting operations and financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, a solid understanding of GAAP, and strong ERP knowledge, including experience with accounting system implementations, conversions, or transitions. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee accounting operations, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP.Support ERP implementation, system conversion, data migration, account mapping, testing, and reconciliation.
Assist with the transition to Sage and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, tax compliance, and audits.
Provide guidance and support to accounting staff.
Assist management with financial analysis and accounting-related decisions.
QualificationsActive CPA license required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Strong ERP/accounting systems knowledge with implementation or conversion experience.
Experience with Sage or similar accounting platforms preferred.
Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
