Job Description
Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a quantitative discipline and a strong academic record 2) Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and/or Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred 3) Four plus years of full-time experience with a top I-banking, Private Equity, Investment Fund, Family Office or Consulting Firm 4) Prior experience with financing and loan applications and the relevant terms 5) Real estate specific coursework or work experience is preferred 6) Knowledge of private equity industry, market participants, investment structures and current trends 7) Must be able to work in the office each and every day as this is not a remote or hybrid position 8) Willingness to travel domestically as needed 9) Availability and willingness to work outside normal business hours at times, whether early or late, and including weekends as required by transaction schedules and expectations Computer 1) Excellent Excel, SQL and PowerPoint skills, 2) Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas and functions including VBA / macros required) 3) Strong PowerPoint proficiency (experience working on client deliverables a plus) 4) Proficiency in Argus, Yardi, Costar and Real Capital Analytics preferred 5) Knowledge of research products including: Capital IQ, Pitchbook, FactSet, Thomson One, 451 Research, Hoovers, IBISWorld, DealNexus, PrivCo, Corpfin, OneSource, and First Research experience is a plus 6) Utilize tools such as DealCloud 7) Prepare and manage virtual data rooms and coordinate client and third-party due diligence Skills 1) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a) Verbal and written communication of complex information that is accurate, timely, and based on sound judgment b) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail c) Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external contacts d) Ability to interact with executives, consistently present yourself in a professional manner and appropriately represent in social situations e) Effective communicator, able to adapt communication style to different audiences f) Outstanding client service mindset and capabilities 2) Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, energy and overall enthusiasm for learning about private assets and financial analytics a) High degree of intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated interest in investing b) Highly self-motivated and intelligent with the ability to work effectively in a team environment; proactive and takes initiative c) Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects d) Planning, organizing, and prioritizing work assignments to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced and changing environment, and in completing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy. e) Personal and professional integrity beyond reproach f) Absolute discretion in handling confidential business information g) Self-starter attitude with the ability to take initiative, work independently and take ownership of assignments h) Ability to work with and contribute to a small, dynamic team i) Ability to work under tight deadlines in a demanding work environment j) Critical/strategic thinking capability k) Strong sense of urgency and competitiveness 3) Exceptional technical, analytical, financial modeling and quantitative skills a) Ability to transform raw data into insight for the business b) Exceptionally high attention to detail when managing and analyzing large data sets c) Constantly implement and improve process and technology d) Excellent knowledge of accounting principles e) Deep analytical and accounting proficiency; skilled in modeling and financial analysis f) Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial instruments, and investment products g) Sound understanding of economic and investment theory and practices h) Corporate and private equity valuation metrics and markets. i) Strong data/quantitative prowess with excellent spreadsheet/Excel, SQL, and analytical skillsSimilar remote jobs
