Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for a contract/temporary opportunity supporting a public-sector organization in Riverside, CA. This role will provide professional-level support for program, contracts, grants, accounting, invoice processing, budget tracking, compliance, and financial analysis functions. - Review invoices, reimbursement requests, accounting records, financial information, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Track program budgets, expenditures, costs, performance metrics, contract terms, deliverables, deadlines, funding requirements, and payment schedules.
- Assist with the preparation, routing, execution, maintenance, and tracking of contracts, amendments, purchase orders, grants, and related documentation.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, contract questions, and grant documentation inquiries.
- Maintain accurate contract, grant, financial, compliance, electronic, and physical records to support reporting and audits.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors, internal departments, and public agency partners to support program and financial operations. Compensation and Benefits

- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, contract administration, grants administration, program analysis, or a related area.
- Experience reviewing invoices, tracking budgets, maintaining contracts, or supporting grant-funded programs.
- Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accurate and detailed financial and compliance records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond professionally to inquiries.
- Ability to research discrepancies, identify issues, and support timely resolution of payment, contract, and documentation matters.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Public agency, government, transportation, grants, contracts, finance, or other public-sector experience.
- Analyst or Senior Analyst-level experience supporting contracts, grants, budgets, accounting, or publicly funded programs.
- Experience working with consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders in a compliance-focused environment.
