Description Robert Half is working with a San Marcos organization seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join a collaborative Finance team. This position is designed for someone who has a solid foundation in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business and wants hands-on experience with FP& A and business reporting. Rather than being purely data-entry focused, this role gives you the opportunity to understand how financial information flows through a business and how Finance supports operational decisions.

What You'll Handle:

+ Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting

+ Update budget and forecast templates

+ Prepare department-level financial schedules

+ Track expenses and compare spending against budget

+ Research and document financial variances

+ Assist with revenue and expense analysis

+ Pull financial data from internal systems and Excel

+ Maintain reporting databases and financial files

+ Help prepare management presentations and reporting packages

+ Support month-end close analysis

+ Assist with KPI and performance reporting

+ Identify inconsistencies in financial data and work with the team to resolve them

+ Assist with special projects, forecasting, and process improvements Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field + 0-2 years of professional experience

+ Strong Excel skills — PivotTables, formulas, sorting/filtering, and lookups

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Comfortable analyzing numbers and identifying trends

+ Ability to organize multiple deadlines

+ Strong written and verbal communication

+ Internship, school projects, or prior accounting experience is a plus
