The purpose of this position is to provide project management, consulting, reporting, and accounting services for approved strategic initiatives and process improvements in Corporate Accounting. The impact this position has on Publix is achieving the projected return on investments (ROI) for strategic initiatives and enabling process efficiencies to appropriately scale accounting operations to minimize costs as Publix grows.Responsibilities include:

Design and execute test plans to validate system functionality, data integrity and performance. Evaluate existing processes and systems, identify opportunities for innovation, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Plan, organize, and manage projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and resources are effectively managed. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a field applicable to this position or equivalent experience 2 years' experience in Corporate Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience knowledge of accounting principles and general business practices knowledge of Business Analysis ability and willingness to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion when working ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities ability to inspect, cleanse, transform and model data from various sources with the goal of discovering useful information/trends, informing conclusion and supporting decision-making ability to interpret, analyze, and explain financial information problem solving skills strategic thinking including the ability to see and understand the bigger picture of what the organization is, where it needs to go, and how it will get there negotiation skills written and verbal communication skills intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Power BI or comparable platforms ability to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting/ Finance 2 years in financial analysis, planning, process improvements and accounting principles knowledge of project management techniques and continuous quality improvement methodology basic knowledge of Corporate Accounting functions and Publix Operations basic knowledge of Internal Controls and SOX regulations advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) knowledge of Alteryx for data preparation, blending, analysis, and workflow automation knowledge of Microsoft Visio for creating process flows, system diagrams, and business process models knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse knowledge of SAP/BW Employee stock ownership plan that contributes Publix stock to associates each year at no cost An opportunity to purchase additional shares of our privately-held stock 401(k) retirement savings plan Group health, dental and vision plans Paid Time Off Paid Parental Leave Short- and long-term disability insurance Tuition reimbursement Free hot lunches (buffet-style) at facilities with a cafeteria Visit our website to see all of our benefits:Benefits
