Type:
full-time QXO is the largest publicly traded distributor of roofing, waterproofing, and complementary building products in the United States. The company aims to become the tech-enabled leader in the $800 billion building products distribution industry and generate outsized value for shareholders. QXO is targeting $50 billion in annual revenues within the next decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth. The Financial Analyst will support executive management decision-making and business planning by maintaining, analyzing, and translating financial and operational data into actionable insights. This role will partner closely with business and segment leaders to understand key performance drivers, identify opportunities for growth and cost savings, and provide meaningful recommendations that support business performance. The Financial Analyst will also play an important role in forecasting, annual planning, management reporting, and the integration of newly acquired businesses into QXO's financial reporting and analysis processes. This role can be based out of Chicago, IL and/or Denver, CO.
Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis Build, maintain, and enhance financial and operational reports used by segment and company leadership to make key business decisions. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, growth opportunities, and potential cost savings. Partner with segment and business leaders to understand business needs, operating performance, and key financial drivers. Translate complex financial information into clear insights and recommendations for management. Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into QXO's financial analysis and reporting processes. Develop analyses that help leadership better understand business performance and areas of opportunity. Budgeting & Forecasting Develop monthly forecasts based on current market conditions, business performance, and operating assumptions. Lead select businesses or segments through the annual operating planning (AOP) process. Serve as a dedicated financial resource to local and segment presidents, providing analysis and recommendations around forecast assumptions and business performance. Develop and enhance tools, templates, and processes to improve budgeting and forecasting efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. Partner with business leaders to understand variances and adjust forecasts as business conditions evolve. Management & Executive Reporting Prepare financial reporting and analysis to support management and executive decision-making. Support the development and preparation of materials for Monthly Operating Reviews. Prepare recurring financial and segment reporting. Maintain and analyze rolling forecasts. Develop segment-level reporting presentations and executive materials. Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and presented in a clear and actionable format. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of relevant professional experience required; degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred. Strong analytical capabilities and quantitative skill set. Ability to analyze large amounts of information, identify key insights, and communicate findings clearly. Self-starter with a strong internal drive to succeed and willingness to take ownership. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner across different levels of the organization. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
