Financial Analyst

Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will conduct detailed financial analyses and modeling to support decision-making processes within the organization. You will also provide insights on financial performance, budget trends, and cost-saving opportunities to drive strategic improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing budgets and financial plans to align with organizational goals.
• Perform pro forma analyses to assess the financial impact of new or discontinued facilities.
• Conduct moderately complex financial modeling and provide strategic recommendations based on findings.
• Collaborate with management across divisions to collect and analyze financial data.
• Create and maintain profitability metrics for various portfolios and business lines.
• Analyze branch profitability models and prepare comprehensive management review packages.
• Lead initiatives related to budgeting and capital project tracking within the division.
• Administer and support incentive plans, including determining payouts and providing detailed analyses.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, financial analysis techniques, and business strategies.
• Prior experience within a financial institution is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in financial modeling tools and advanced data analysis methods.
• Working knowledge of banking industry practices and regulations.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including macros, and familiarity with Oracle PeopleSoft and Oracle Essbase.
• Ability to conduct variance analysis and ad hoc financial evaluations effectively.
