The Senior Reinsurance Analyst is responsible for reporting and analysis for ceded and assumed reinsurance. Strong reconciliation skills required for validation of ceded payable and assumed recoverable/payable. Provides necessary support for monthly close process, manage assigned accounts, special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Calculate and validate ceded reinsurance premiums in reinsurance system. Prepare monthly and quarterly bordereaux to report ceded premiums and losses to reinsurers. Review reinsurer premium invoices and validate amounts due. Manages cash and research discrepancies. Resolves payment discrepancies with underwriters and reinsurers. Process ceded payments and apply cash receipts in reinsurance as needed. Manage assumed book of business, including entry into the reinsurance system, and cash management Liaise with other Reinsurance Accounting team members as well as members as members of the Underwriting and Claims departments. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 5-7 years of related insurance and reinsurance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Strong attention to detail and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills are required. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of current principles and practices of reinsurance, claims and accounting functions.
SALARY:
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate's relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
