Full Job Description Job Title:
Financial Coordinator Reports to: Director of Operations The Financial Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end management of attorney fee processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency from initial notice to final resolution. This role focuses on analyzing financial documentation, drafting and filing fee petitions, tracking pending payments, maintaining detailed records, and optimizing existing procedures.
Responsibilities Reviewing Financial Documents :
Processing and analyzing claimant fee and notice of award letters to ensure accuracy, recording vital data and summarizing to database.
Fee Management :
Tracking and following up on attorney fees, ensuring timely processing and resolution of any issues.
Drafting and Filing Fee Petitions :
Drafting and submitting petitions for attorney(s), ensuring they meet all necessary criteria.
Documentation :
Maintaining organized records of all communications, petitions, and financial documents related to fees and awards.
Process Optimization :
Identifying areas for improvement in financial processes and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
Skills Detail-Oriented :
Strong attention to detail for accurate document review and processing.
Analytical Thinking :
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Communication :
Effective written and verbal communication skills for liaising with clients, staff and the Social Security Administration.
Tech Proficiency :
Familiarity with CRM software or databases to manage and track data and documents efficiently. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) Comfortable working with numbers and financial data 1-3+ years of experience in an administrative or office support role Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, Word) Familiarity with CRM systems or financial software Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines High attention to detail and accuracy Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information
