Job Description:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the their team in Richardson, TX . The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data for reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. He/she will partner with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) Manager and other Finance team members by providing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and forecasting partnerships. The successful candidate will also prepare a variety of month-end closing functions along with financial forecasting and budgeting inquiries. What Will You Do? Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report packages for senior leadership using company financial software reporting tools. Create monthly variance reports and analyze the reasons behind monthly product and department performance and results. Construct monthly sales, sales rebates, and bonus reports. Formulate financial models to corroborate initiatives and annual incentive plans. Partner with accounting to understand and drive improvements to the reporting capabilities. Collaborate with management for ad-hoc projects. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills Education:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a professional environment with analytical experience. Minimum 1 years' experience in Finance and Accounting process management. Experience in the Big 4 as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Working knowledge of financial analysis concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. JDE Edwards knowledge preferred. Experienced use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel (macros, pivot tables, and formulas), Power Point, Outlook, and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) financial software applications. Power Bi knowledge preferred. Strong analytical and quantitative abilities including the utilization of Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting. Must be detailed-oriented and pay attention to those details. Ability to deal with and solve complex problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to read and comprehend highly complex instructions, procedures, and/or correspondence, while working in a cross cultural and functional matrix organization. Ability to lead or influence others to obtain results using a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity that sparks communication, collaboration, and innovation. Must have a willingness to look beyond surface requirements. Must be willing to collaborate with management and peers to advance team and company goals. Ability to work independently, prioritize, meet deadlines with multiple projects in a fast-paced environment within time constraints. Must be willing to expand knowledge relating to business commercial acumen or industry trends. This position is a hybrid position, requiring the successful candidate to be onsite in the Richardson, TX office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
