Grants Financial Analyst
Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group, partnered with a leading academic research institution, seeks a qualified Grants Financial Analyst to support the financial and compliance activities of sponsored and non-sponsored programs, working closely with leadership and faculty. Responsibilities include financial analysis, budget management, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct financial analysis and projections related to business and research trends.
  • Develop and monitor departmental, discretionary, and sponsored budgets.
  • Analyze business activity costs and recommend budget adjustments and cost improvements.
  • Manage grant and contract closeouts, funding transfers, and summary documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate funding levels and adnce to revenue and expenditure guidelines.
  • Prepare financial planning and cost analysis reports.
  • Meet with faculty to review and ensure compliance with institutional and agency regulations.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis to enhance departmental effectiveness and compliance.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (required) OR equivalent relevant experience (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive related experience (required) OR experience in finance, accounting, business, grants management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with departmental budget and personnel communication.
  • Aptitude for quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in standard business software.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • This job is Hybrid Remote.
Pay Range:
