  • BAE Systems is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to join our team at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, VA.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for supporting their assigned programs and contribute to the Radford Finance objectives. These objectives include meeting or exceeding financial salients, working with program management to provide timely and accurate forecasts and performance results and contributing continuous improvement ideas. The candidate will have exposure to various levels of management at Radford including the Value Stream Leads, Finance Directors and the entire Ordnance Systems finance and accounting team. This individual will develop relationships as a full business partner by working closely with the Value Streams and program management, support the overall Radford business strategy and provide financial data and analysis required for decision making. Candidate must be able to work effectively with short turnaround job tasking and time constraints as this is a highly dynamic and fast paced work environment. The candidate will be expected to provide financial support, expertise, and guidance to program managers, value stream leads and other cross-functional team members. The candidate will prepare timely and accurate program financial information and analysis for all programs within the assigned program area which includes internal financial reporting, compliance, program estimates at completion, financial salient forecasting, supporting internal monthly reviews and other ad hoc analysis as needed. In this role your primary responsibilities will include the following: + Develop a clear understanding of the organization s financial and manufacturing systems in order to fully utilize information for analysis and reporting. + Develop and manage quarterly, annual, and five (5) year forecasts with production and program management teams + Maintain overall production and program financial position. Develop plans and performance measurement reports that satisfy company and customer requirements for production and program status + Measure actual performance versus labor and material standards + Monitor production and program spending against the baseline plan and current forecasts. Prepare variance analysis with production/program team and identify appropriate corrective action. Revise financial forecasts to reflect manufacturing and cost variances. Develop and monitor risks and opportunities. + Analyze production status to provide up-to date Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) + Forecast production/program data (funding, sales, gross margin, product cost by element, cash flow, backlog, manpower) and facilities requirements in Hyperion + Analyze and revise production/program EAC when changes occur in overhead rates and report the impact to the management team. + Work with accounting group to complete all necessary items for month end close + Identifying areas of improvement and implementing solutions + Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
  • Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • + Bachelor s Degree and 4 years relevant experience in Financial Analysis + Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth financial analytical skills + Strong interpersonal skills + Demonstrated ability to support program management with the use and maintenance of systems and metrics/reporting + Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite + Financial forecasting experience + Ability to interface with various levels of management + Ability to work well independently and in a team environment + Organized and disciplined in work habits; ability to multi-task and prioritize work + Good communication and presentation skills •Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills•+ MBA, CPA or CMA preferred + 6 year s financial analysis or cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment + Extensive ERP/MRP knowledge and experience Fourth Shift experience preferred + Knowledge of Hyperion queries and input + Experience in Earned Value Management + Experience within government contracting environment including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) + Knowledge of MS Access and SQL queries and reports •Pay Information•
Full-Time Salary Range:
$75254 - $127930 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
