Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function. Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.Preferred qualifications:
MBA or Master's degree in a quantitative or business field. Experience in the technology industry, in Cloud Computing, PaaS, or Data Analytics. Experience with investigative toolsets and databases (e.g., SQL, business intelligence platforms, advanced spreadsheet modeling). Understanding of infrastructure costs (Infra Cost), efficiency metrics, and Pricing/BPR processes and unit cost model. Ability to work with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment and deliver results while building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing executive leadership (VPs, Directors). As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. We are Data Cloud product finance team supporting Google Cloud Platform's ecosystem of data management and analytics solutions. Our focus centers on managing the financial strategy for enterprise data technologies—such as scaling multi-model capabilities and winning Database and Data Analytics workload—empowering enterprise customers across verticals to achieve profound organizational transformation through innovation. Our team supports the Product, Engineering, and Operations teams that build and promote Google Cloud's Data Cloud products. We manage the product profit and losses (P&Ls), including business, infrastructure expenses, payroll, and other operating expenses. We are an integral partner and strategic financial advisers to the Cloud leadership team, advising on how to invest resources, accelerate commercial database migrations, and grow a sustainable business. Responsibilities Serve as the end-to-end finance lead and trusted advisor for BigQuery suite products, guiding VPs and Directors on financial and strategic decisions. Lead long-range planning (LRP) and annual planning (AOP) processes, covering revenue, infrastructure costs, and efficiency metrics. Foster close partnerships with Strategy and Operations, Engineering, Product, and GTM teams to align financial goals with operational execution. Deliver comprehensive monthly financial updates, including continuous forecasting, variance analysis, and deep dives into key financial drivers. Play a key role in Business Planning Reviews (BPR), providing thorough pricing and financial analysis for new launches in close collaboration with Product Managers and the Business Planning team.
