Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee core accounting operations in Glendale, California. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing the monthly close process, and supporting timely and reliable financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise, a hands-on approach to general ledger management, reconciliations, and journal entries, and the ability to ensure audit readiness in a fast-paced environment. This position also provides leadership and guidance to the accounting team while identifying opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the monthly close process from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial records are complete and accurate. Oversee general ledger activities, including reviewing transactions, maintaining account integrity, and researching and resolving discrepancies. Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring transactions are properly supported, accurately recorded, and consistent with applicable accounting principles. Perform and oversee account reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure account balances remain accurate and current. Coordinate audit preparation and support, including compiling schedules, maintaining supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests. Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend process improvements and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality. Supervise day-to-day accounting activities and provide coaching, direction, and support to accounting team members. Establish priorities and promote consistent accounting practices and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Pay:
