full-time Robert Half if currently working with a well-established and growing property management organization in Southwest Florida is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead a small accounting team. This position will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting multiple properties and business units across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation, leadership experience, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes. Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports for multiple properties and entities. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities. Assist with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners. Monitor cash flow and support treasury management activities. Develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies. Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment. Partner with operational leadership to provide financial insight and support business objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with property management, real estate, HOA, multi-entity, or multi-location accounting preferred. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
