Small Residential Construction Company We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Financial Manager to join our growing residential construction company. This is currently a
PART-TIME
position, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with the potential to grow into a
FULL-TIME
position in the future as the company continues to grow. We are looking for someone interested in becoming a long-term member of our team and taking on an active role in the financial management of the company. The ideal candidate must have very strong proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and be comfortable independently managing the company's day-to-day financial operations. Key Responsibilities Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities Process and pay company bills and vendor invoices Record and categorize financial transactions Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Review accounts payable and accounts receivable Monitor cash balances and upcoming financial obligations Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss statements Review financial statements and identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of concern Prepare cash-flow projections and assist with financial planning Monitor income and expenses against budgets and expectations Track construction-related expenses and job costs Assist management with financial reporting and analysis Maintain accurate and organized financial records Work closely with management, vendors, employees, and outside professionals as needed Handle other financial and accounting responsibilities required in the day-to-day operation of a small business Required Qualifications Very strong proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop is
REQUIRED
Proven experience managing bookkeeping and financial functions for a small business Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions Ability to analyze Profit & Loss statements and financial reports Experience preparing and monitoring cash-flow projections Construction industry or construction accounting experience is highly preferred Excellent organizational and time-management skills Extremely detail-oriented and accurate Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding company financial information What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is more than just a bookkeeper . The right candidate will understand the bigger financial picture of a business—from entering transactions and paying bills to analyzing profitability, monitoring cash flow, reviewing financial statements, and the company's overall financial position with the owner on a regular basis. Advanced, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop is essential. The successful candidate should be able to confidently navigate QuickBooks Desktop, maintain accurate company records, reconcile accounts, generate and analyze reports, and troubleshoot routine accounting issues with minimal supervision.
