Join a team that values development, collaboration, improvement, and new ideas. Position Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations while leading a distributed accounting team. Inventory accounting is a critical component of this position.Key responsibilities include:
Own the month-end and year-end close processes Prepare accurate, timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements Manage inventory accounting , reconciliations, costing, and related controls Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Lead and develop the team of staff accountants Review balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Investigate unusual activity and explain financial or operational variances Strengthen accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting Support external audits and year-end reporting requirements Partner with leadership and operations on business and financial decisions Maximize efficiencies' by companies ERP system Dynamics 365 Business Central and related technology Assume broader Controller-level responsibilities as the company grows Requirements 5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience Hands-on inventory accounting experience required Experience managing direct reports, including remote team members Strong month-end close and financial reporting skills Distribution experience strongly preferred; B2B experience highly valued Large ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred Tech-savvy with a process-improvement mindset Proactive, self-directed, and confident making accounting decisions Ability and desire to advance into a Controller role Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; Master's preferredPay:
