Job Description

Accounting Manager - Multi-Location Restaurant Group GCI Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing multi-location restaurant organization. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is highly proficient in QuickBooks and capable of independently managing the accounting cycle for multiple business entities and locations. We are looking for someone with strong practical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and substantial experience managing company books accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for multiple restaurant locations and business entities Maintain accurate general ledgers in QuickBooks Perform and oversee monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Review and properly categorize transactions Prepare journal entries and make necessary accounting adjustments Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare internal financial statements and management reports Monitor cash balances and financial activity across multiple entities Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation Coordinate payroll-related accounting and reporting Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, and other recurring filings Reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues Coordinate with company management, payroll providers, banks, and outside CPA/tax professionals Maintain accounting procedures and help improve internal processes and controls Assist management with financial reporting, budgeting, and other accounting projects as needed Qualifications 5+ years of professional accounting experience preferred Significant hands-on experience with QuickBooks required Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Experience handling accounting for multiple entities or locations strongly preferred Restaurant, hospitality, retail, franchise, or other multi-unit accounting experience is a major plus Strong Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to independently identify and resolve accounting discrepancies Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and accounts Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with company ownership and outside professionals CPA license is not required. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the accounting function rather than simply perform basic bookkeeping tasks. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is strongly preferred due to frequent communication with Chinese-speaking management and team members.
