Job Description

We are currently seeking an Accounting Assistant Manager for a client within the Manufacturing industry. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant Manager to support financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and inventory accounting while collaborating with departments across the organization. This role partners closely with Finance leadership to improve financial accuracy, support audits, oversee SAP accounting processes, and contribute to strategic financial initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Forecast monthly and annual income statements while supporting business planning and budgeting activities. Perform month-end cost closing and maintain accurate financial data within SAP. Manage departmental budgets, review approvals, and oversee budget transfers and additions in SAP and groupware systems. Analyze cost accounting data, monitor material ledger activity, and ensure accurate production cost coding. Prepare consolidated income statements, support annual inventory audits, and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories. Lead finance-related special projects while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting accuracy and efficiency. Support internal and external audits and prepare financial documentation requested by executive leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Strong working knowledge of SAP and ERP financial systems. Experience supporting inventory accounting, audits, and manufacturing cost analysis preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and lead special projects.
