Pacific Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, deliver accurate financial reporting, and develop our accounting team. Working directly with the CFO, you will support multiple entities, strengthen internal controls, and improve processes that keep our organizations running effectively. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and taking ownership of financial accuracy and timely results. What You'll Do Lead, train, and mentor accounting staff; manage workloads, priorities, and deadlines. Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, fixed assets, and reconciliations. Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, supporting schedules, and management reports. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, organizational policies, funding requirements, and donor restrictions. Monitor bank accounts, shared cost allocations, and intercompany or interfund transactions. Support budgets, forecasts, audits, tax filings, and healthcare cost report preparation. Improve accounting procedures and develop cross-training and backup coverage for key functions. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Five years of healthcare financial administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge needed for the role. Two to three years of direct supervisory or accounting team leadership experience strongly preferred. Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred. CPA preferred, but not required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and guide a team effectively. Schedule Generally 40 hours per week, with additional hours and occasional weekend or holiday work based on accounting deadlines and organizational needs.
