Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinate efforts with various levels of management to ensure business objectives are met and financial information is presented fairly in accordance with GAAP. Direct, manage, and develop Staff Accountants. Focus on process improvement to eliminate inefficiencies. Maintain proper controls and procedures over various areas of responsibility. Prepare monthly financial statement consolidations. Prepare quarterly debt compliance reporting. Assist with annual external and internal audits. Prepare yearend financial statement draft report. PrepareU.S. GAAP
financial statements for Mexico. Prepare and record subsidiary financial statements into SAP. Record and analyze joint venture accounting and expense billings. Prepare and maintain equity roll forward on a quarterly basis. Work with staff to analyze inventory transactions and prepare monthly reconciliation. Prepare and analyze property tax accruals. Record standard monthly entries. Prepare and maintain required monthly, quarterly and annual Members' reporting. Perform various monthly and quarterly procedures and account reconciliations. Provide assistance and problem solve for all areas of the company. Support the development at all levels of the Accounting and Finance Department. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Thorough general knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and internal controls Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization Strong leadership skills Work with limited supervision; self-starter. Desire and ability to grow and develop in Accounting/Finance Strong organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to drive change, see opportunities to offer recommendations for process improvement Excellent mathematical skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail Reasonable accommodations may be made to those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS Degree in Accounting Certified Public Accountant (preferred) 3-5+ years of accounting experience including managerial roles Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.WORKING CONDITIONS
