Job Description

Lead the Financial Strategy and Transformation of a Growing Business Keefe's Air Conditioning, Heating, Plumbing & Electrical has been a trusted leader in residential home services throughout the Greater New Orleans area for decades. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our executive leadership team and help drive the next phase of our success. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the company's overall financial strategy, accounting operations, forecasting, budgeting, cash management, financial reporting, and finance technology initiatives. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll serve as a trusted business advisor by providing financial insight that drives operational and strategic decision-making. You'll also collaborate with Redwood Services leadership and private equity stakeholders to ensure financial performance, governance, and long-term value creation objectives are achieved. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking finance leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, partnering with executive leadership, and leveraging ERP systems, accounting automation, AI-powered tools, and business intelligence solutions to modernize the finance function and support continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the General Manager to develop and execute the company's financial strategy in support of business growth and profitability. Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership by providing financial analysis and recommendations that support operational and business decisions. Collaborate with Redwood Services leadership and private equity partners on financial reporting, governance, and strategic initiatives. Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning processes. Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency. Direct all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, general ledger management, and balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial controls. Oversee cash flow, treasury management, banking relationships, financing activities, and working capital. Support mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, and other strategic growth initiatives. Manage external audits, tax compliance, insurance programs, and financial risk management. Evaluate, implement, and optimize ERP systems and financial technology solutions to improve operational efficiency. Champion accounting automation, AI-enabled finance tools, and digital transformation initiatives that streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce manual work. Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and business intelligence reporting that provide leadership with actionable insights. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and payroll teams while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Seven (7)+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience. Must have a CPA or CMA. Previous experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, VP of Finance, or similar senior finance leadership role is required. Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury management, and corporate finance. Experience driving accounting automation, AI-powered finance solutions, and digital transformation initiatives. Demonstrated experience leading accounting teams and developing high-performing finance organizations. Proven ability to analyze financial performance and translate financial data into strategic business recommendations. Experience implementing, optimizing, or leading conversions of ERP systems and finance technology platforms. Strong understanding of financial reporting systems, business intelligence, and data analytics. Experience in a multi-location service, home services, distribution, manufacturing, or other operational business environment preferred. Experience working in a private equity-backed organization or supporting private equity investors is strongly preferred. Experience with Sage Intacct, ADP, and other cloud-based financial systems is preferred. Exceptional leadership, communication, executive presentation, and change management skills. $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
