Accounting Manager Louisiana Environmental Monitoring, Inc. - 4.8 Lafayette, LA Job Details Part-time From $25 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Qualifications Administrative experience Business Administration Business Associate's degree Time management Full Job Description Position Summary Established Lafayette, LA based oil and gas industry company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting/Office Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and general office administration. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, coordination with off-site accountant, managing accounts payable and receivable, generating payroll, invoicing and ensuring the office operates efficiently. The position is 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccounting Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Generate invoices and submit according to customer guidelines
  • Receive customer payments and make deposits
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Enter and process payroll in Quickbooks and pay necessary taxes
  • Assist accountants with tax filings, audits, and other financial reporting requirements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Office Management Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily administrative operations and maintain an organized, efficient office environment.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, vendors, and service providers.
  • Coordinate incoming calls, correspondence, and general office communications.
  • Maintain company records, files, and documentation.
  • Responsible for employee onboarding, personnel records, and administrative support.
  • Support management and other departments with administrative tasks. Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred, but will train right candidate.
  • 3-5 years of accounting and office management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others. Physical and Work Requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
Compensation and Benefits Salary:
Dependent on experience and qualifications. Bonus potential is available.
