Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage audit engagements, ensuring compliance with GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards) and other relevant regulations
  • Plan and execute audits of financial statements, internal controls, and operational processes
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, and audit reports prepared by audit staff
  • Provide guidance and support to audit team members throughout the audit process
  • Identify and communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations to clients or management
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit methodologies and tools
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation
  • Familiarity with tax laws and regulations related to auditing
  • Proficiency in risk management techniques and internal control frameworks
  • Technical expertise in accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and financial reporting requirements
  • Understanding of governmental accounting principles (e.g., GASB)
  • Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
