A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

The Louisiana Cash Magic Truck Plaza & Casino incorporates 27 video gaming facilities situated throughout the state. Each site features a convenience store, fueling operations, a restaurant and up to 50 poker machines. The video gaming machines are in a separate gaming room that offers a casino-like atmosphere and provides the road weary traveler an exciting break from the highways. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for conducting routine machine drops in an efficient manner, according to company policies and proceduresResponsible for balancing the vault dailyVerifies Casino Associate paperwork daily and reports any errors to the Assistant General Manager/General Manager immediatelyResponsible for inventory of and ordering supplies for the barOrders change from bank when necessaryAssists the AGM with casino drops and reviews for accuracy
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrate the ability to counsel and develop subordinates in a fair, equal, and favorable work environmentAbility to perform basic math and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and gross profit marginsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and produce manualsMust be designated Representative and certified on all video poker machinesIdentification that establishes identityIdentification that establishes the right to work in the United States
