Job Description:
A growing private equity firm is seeking a Finance Manager to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong public accounting background who is looking to transition into an industry role within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Finance Manager will oversee core accounting functions, financial reporting, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with leadership and external service providers/
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party providers during audits and compliance activities Monitor cash activity and assist with treasury-related functions Support the implementation and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Assist with system implementations, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting for leadership as needed Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, legal, compliance, and executive leadership teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA designation preferred 4-7 years of experience, including experience in public accounting Big 4 or regional public accounting firm experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience managing audits, reconciliations, and month-end close processes Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
