$85,000 - $100,000 About the Opportunity Our nonprofit client is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support the organization's financial health and mission. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to step into a leadership role or an Accounting Manager seeking meaningful, mission-driven work. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position will take ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, and staff supervision. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity Prepare financial statements and management reports Perform budget-to-actual and variance analysis Support annual audits and tax filing preparation Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning Partner with program and operational leaders on financial matters Supervise and mentor accounting support staff Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong month-end close and general ledger accounting experience Experience preparing financial statements Advanced Excel skills Prior supervisory experience preferred Nonprofit, grant accounting, healthcare, education, association, or multi-entity accounting experience is highly desirable CPA is a plus but not required Why This Opportunity?
