Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Revenue Cycle Automation, Analytics, & AI, this director leads all aspects of the revenue cycle analytics program that supports both revenue cycle operations and other HFH stakeholders. This role is responsible for building and scaling HFH's analytics capabilities across the end-to-end revenue cycle-with a focus on improving financial performance, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting value-based care goals Utilizing a strong skillset in technical analytics, collaboration, & the ability to influence, this role will work closely with revenue cycle & system leaders to design analytics solutions and structures that deliver the information & insights they require to drive value. Additionally, this role will help leaders to identify new applications of analytics to solve operational challenges & unlock new value. The Director will collaborate closely with leaders across revenue cycle, system analytics, transformation consulting, IT, Digital Enablement Hub (DEH), Finance, and other areas to solve problems & design solutions. This role will lead teams consisting of analytics managers, business intelligence developers, analysts, & other consultative staff to achieve set goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create a culture within the Revenue Cycle Analytics team in which team members are working together to achieve our shared revenue cycle goals; this includes, but is not limited to the formal & informal sharing of knowledge across the team to enable the development of team members; create a culture of learning & growth. Develop & execute, in partnership with revenue cycle leaders, a comprehensive revenue cycle analytics strategy that aligns with revenue cycle & enterprise priorities Translate analytics strategies into tactics with defined objectives, scope, resources, & timing. Lead the development & maintenance of value-adding reports, tools, dashboards, vendor extracts, & predictive models that support revenue cycle operations, system operations, & special projects Support the surveillance of revenue cycle key metrics, including the root cause analysis of negative trends, issues &/or outliers, and the appropriate communication/escalation of findings to mitigate negative impacts. Root cause analysis of trends, issues, & outliers will be done in coordination with other teams & team members throughout revenue cycle. Oversee & coordinate analytics project work of a sophisticated and complex nature, with responsibility for overall project planning, analysis, and execution. Oversee the inflow & outflow of revenue cycle analytics work, working with leaders to set priorities & expectations, and then manage team member capacity & assignments to meet those expectations. Teach revenue cycle & others throughout the organization how to use self-service tools to attain revenue cycle data Serve as a thought leader and internal advocate, communicating the strategic potential of analytics, automation, & AI across revenue cycle and ensuring alignment with Henry Ford Health's digital transformation agenda. Identify and pursue opportunities to use advanced analytics & AI to unlock new value within revenue cycle; collaborate with others as needed in revenue cycle, system analytics, & DEH to deploy solutions. Consistently review existing revenue cycle reporting & tools to determine more automated & efficient ways to deliver the value Oversee revenue cycle participation in system analytics initiativesEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's Degree required in Business or related clinical or operation field. Master's degree in Business or a relevant clinical or operational field preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in appropriate technical field. Minimum of five (5) years managing professionals. Significant project management experience and outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Experience managing large, complex, simultaneous assignments with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines. Experience provoking the thinking of leadership at all levels of an organization.Additional Information Organization:
