Full Job Description Basic Purpose:
This role has primary responsibility for inventory management accounting, inventory valuation, job costing, cost analysis, inventory controls, and gross margin reporting. Responsible for the oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and job costing. Assist with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and audits. Provide back up support to Chief Financial Officer.
Recommended Qualifications:
1.)
Education:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. 2.)
Experience:
a. 5+ years accounting experience; accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, financial reporting; integrated ERP systems. b. Prior supervisory experience is desirable. c. Experience with job costing in manufacturing, construction, distribution, or project-based environments. d. Knowledge of inventory costing methods including FIFO, LIFO, and weighted average costing. e. Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and WIP accounting. 3.) Special skills/
Certifications:
a. Proficient with Microsoft Excel / Word / Outlook. b. CPA, CMA or pursuit of professional certification preferred. c. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. d. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 4.)

Job Costing/Cost of Sales:
a) Cost completed work orders. b) Analyze production reports and material usage for accuracy. c) Report any material usage errors to Production Control and Quality Control. d) Review completed work orders daily and adjust for silo usage. e) Review and compare Bindicator Silo report with inventory and investigate any discrepancies. f) Manage monthly cycle counting activities. g) Investigate and correct inventory count or tag errors. h) Plan and manage company-wide physical inventory counts including reconciliation of the physical inventory count to the general ledger. i) Maintain cost of sales/margin analysis PSHEET database. j) Supervise Inventory Analyst. 2.) Financial Statement/Financial Analysis:
a) Assist with month-end close process including providing accrual information. b) Process general journal entries as requested. c) Prepare debit and credit memos to cancel ledger entries. d) Reconcile general ledger accounts as requested. e) Assist with financial reporting as requested. f) Assist in preparing audit supporting schedules as necessary. g) Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget. h) Work to improve efficiency and accuracy of work flow. 3.)
Other:
a) Serve as a backup to the Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Supervisor. b) Maintain various document copies on server. c) Perform other tasks as assigned. d) Perform any necessary training requirements. e) Comply with all company policies and procedures, local, state, federal laws and regulations.
