We're partnering with a privately held manufacturing company seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing finance team. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role offering broad responsibility across general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, inventory accounting, process improvement, and staff leadership. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Highly visible Accounting Manager role with direct exposure to executive leadership Opportunity to lead and mentor members of the accounting team Broad ownership across the accounting function—not a narrowly defined corporate role Growing manufacturing company continuing to invest in its people, systems, and financial infrastructure Ability to make a meaningful impact while helping build scalable accounting processes Long-term growth potential within a stable, expanding organization What You'll Do Lead the monthly and year-end close process from start to finish Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting reporting Oversee general ledger accounting activities and account reconciliations Supervise, mentor, and help develop members of the accounting team Partner with operations on inventory, manufacturing, and financial reporting matters Coordinate annual audits and support external auditors Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Support continued growth by helping build scalable accounting processes What We're Looking For 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience in an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Accounting Supervisor, or similar leadership role Manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or other inventory-intensive industry experience Strong general ledger accounting and financial reporting background Experience leading or supervising accounting staff (direct or indirect) Experience owning or playing a significant leadership role in the monthly close process Inventory accounting experience preferred ERP system experience Process improvement mindset with a collaborative leadership style Strong communication and problem-solving skills
