Revenue Cycle Manager Join a Mission-Driven Behavioral Healthcare Organization Integrated Care for Greater Health (ICGH) is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to lead and optimize the revenue cycle across our growing behavioral health and substance use disorder service lines. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while ensuring the financial health of programs that transform lives throughout North Carolina. The Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle for our: Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) Medical Detoxification Residential Treatment Center (RTC) Outpatient Therapy (OPT) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) This position works closely with executive leadership, clinical operations, utilization review, admissions, credentialing, and billing teams to maximize reimbursement, improve cash flow, and ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and managed care requirements. Responsibilities Oversee the complete revenue cycle from patient registration through final payment. Manage billing operations for FBC, Detox, RTC, OPT, IOP, and SAIOP services. Monitor accounts receivable, denials, aging reports, and payment trends. Develop and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce denials. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare executive revenue cycle reports. Ensure accurate coding, documentation, and charge capture. Collaborate with Utilization Review to optimize authorizations and reimbursement. Work with Admissions to improve insurance verification and financial clearance. Partner with clinical leadership to resolve documentation deficiencies affecting reimbursement. Maintain compliance with NC Medicaid, Medicare, MCOs, commercial insurance, and federal/state regulations. Lead revenue cycle process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization. Supervise, mentor, and develop billing and revenue cycle staff. Support audits, payer reviews, and compliance initiatives. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue projections. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience. Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience. Experience billing behavioral health and substance use disorder services. Strong understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and managed care billing. Knowledge of behavioral health CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities. Preferred Experience with North Carolina Medicaid managed care. Experience with residential and crisis behavioral health billing. Knowledge of authorizations, utilization management, and payer contracts. CPC, CPB, CRCR, HFMA, or other revenue cycle certifications.
