Accounting Manager / Controller Dispensary Near Me — Albuquerque, NM $80,000-$95,000/year | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, ~40 hours/week Dispensary Near Me is a growing multi-location New Mexico cannabis retailer seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager / Controller to take ownership of our financial systems and grow with the company long-term. Cannabis experience is not required. Responsibilities Own month-end close and financial reporting Maintain accurate books across multiple locations/entities Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards Produce company and store-level P&Ls and balance sheets Manage accounts payable and cash reporting Reconcile payroll and related liabilities Maintain tax schedules, deadlines, and payment records Coordinate with our outside CPA Review inventory and cost-of-goods accounting Track new-store and capital expenditures Build budgets and budget-vs.-actual reporting Develop accounting procedures and internal controls Oversee existing bookkeeping support Provide ownership with clear monthly financial reporting Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, AP, payroll accounting, QuickBooks, and Excel/Google Sheets. Multi-location or multi-entity experience strongly preferred. A CPA license is not required for this role. We will continue to use our outside CPA for tax filings, tax strategy, and other specialized matters. CPA, bachelor's degree, previous Controller title, and cannabis experience are not required for candidates with strong equivalent experience. We welcome experienced Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, and Assistant Controllers ready to take the next step. We're looking for someone who can organize, build, fix, and ultimately own the company's accounting function . This is intended to be a long-term leadership position with room to grow as the company expands.
