Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead our dedicated finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of financial data integrity, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This includes managing complex reconciliations, optimizing expense management, and streamlining payment processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of advanced accounting principles, demonstrated leadership abilities, and the capacity to drive continuous improvement within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and cash flow Lead month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and management analysis Monitor freight-related revenue, expenses, customer billing, and vendor payments Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections Establish and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Coordinate with operations, sales, and management to resolve billing and financial issues Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals as needed Supervise and support accounting staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 5+ years of accounting experience , with management or supervisory experience preferred Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with accounting software/ERP systems Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and leadership skills
