Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee the company's accounting and financial operations. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, and providing financial analysis to support senior management and business growth.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the company's accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations. Supervise and develop the accounting and finance team, providing guidance and establishing performance expectations. Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), general ledger, reconciliations, and other core accounting functions. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses. Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in coordination with senior management. Monitor cash flow, working capital, expenses, profitability, and overall financial performance. Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to senior management to support strategic and operational decisions. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve accuracy, efficiency, and risk management. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, financial institutions, and other external partners. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, manage costs, strengthen cash flow, and improve profitability. Collaborate with department leaders on budgeting, financial planning, cost management, and other business initiatives. Support senior management with financial analysis, special projects, and other business planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5-7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Experience managing accounting and finance teams and overseeing financial operations. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems. Experience working with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions. CPA preferred. Logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding industry experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Highly detail-oriented, ethical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
