This role oversees financial record-keeping, deposits, payroll coordination, human resources administration, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity. Working collaboratively with church leadership, ministry staff, and external vendors, the Finance Administrator provides timely and accurate financial information and faithfully manages the church's financial and personnel resources to support its financial health, ministry operations, and overall mission. This person must be a professing and faithful follower of Jesus Christ whose beliefs and conduct are consistent with the mission, statement of faith, and ministry expectations of Arrow Heights Baptist Church. As a member of the church staff, the Finance Administrator is expected to participate appropriately in the spiritual and ministry life of the staff and to perform all responsibilities as an act of Christian stewardship. Desired Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrated heart for ministry and commitment to faithful stewardship
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration preferred
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and church management database systems (Planning Center)
  • Experience with payroll processing and human resources administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Understanding of HR compliance requirements (I-9, W-4, tax withholding)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with financial and personnel information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills
Areas of Responsibilities Financial Operations:
Manage the church's day-to-day financial transactions and records, including deposits, online giving, ACH activity, account reconciliations, designated funds, bank transfers, and asset tracking in the church database and QuickBooks.
Payroll Administration:
Coordinate and review payroll processing, including timekeeping and PTO adjustments, payroll accuracy, related journal entries and transfers, and vacation and sick leave reporting.
Human Resources:
Administer employee records and employment documentation, onboarding and termination processes, benefits and deductions, insurance and retirement reconciliations, provider renewals, and personnel budget support.
Financial Reporting:
Oversight of preparation and distribution of recurring financial reports and records, including endowment and designated fund reports, contribution statements, budget updates, giving analyses, and year-end asset entries.
Budget Process Support:
Support the annual budget process by preparing and distributing worksheets, gathering budget and insurance information, updating personnel and proposed budget data, and preparing materials for leadership, committee meetings, presentations, and publications.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Pastor, maintain organized financial and human resources records, and ensure compliance with church policies and applicable government regulations.
Schedule and Accountability Schedule:
In-person, full-time, salary position (40 hours), typical office hours Monday through Friday, 8a-5p

Pay:
$52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
