About The Company:

A growing and profitable organization is expanding its accounting team due to increased business volume. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations while remaining actively involved in the work. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for guiding accounting staff, maintaining accurate records, and helping the team keep pace with a growing workload.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily AP and AR activity in a high-volume environment Supervise and support a team of AP/AR accounting clerks Review customer sales tax documentation and maintain required certificates Collect and maintain vendor W-9 forms Analyze vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Complete account reconciliations and investigate variances Research and resolve accounting-related issues Assist with accounting tasks as needed to support the team and business

Qualifications:

Previous accounting supervisory or leadership experience Strong AP and AR background Experience with sales tax documentation and certificates Familiarity with vendor W-9 requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Additional Details:

This is a working-manager position, meaning the individual will be actively involved in AP/AR rather than functioning solely in a supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient, team-oriented, and comfortable working within established processes while helping a busy accounting department stay organized.
