Job Description

Accounting Lead About the Role This position serves as an operational leader within a rapidly expanding, mission-driven organization. As an Accounting Lead, you will lead and develop multi-site accounting teams, providing the technical guidance and structural oversight necessary to ensure operational excellence across the region. This is a rare opportunity to shape scalable solutions and build a leadership runway under a newly aligned executive team. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development:
Lead multi-site accounting teams, setting clear priorities and guiding performance to reach operational goals.
Technical Mentorship:
Serve as the primary resource for technical accounting questions and complex problem-solving for both staff and non-financial partners.
Relationship Management:
Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, translating financial insights for audiences with varying levels of expertise.
Operational Infrastructure:
Manage team schedules, coordinate training, and oversee the setup of financial infrastructure across various client locations.
Process Optimization:
Navigate and streamline internal processes to ensure compliance and effective coordination across a growing department.
Strategic Coordination:
Partner with leadership to implement scalable solutions that support the organization's regional expansion. Requirements 10+ years of progressive accounting experience. Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity. Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and support teams across multiple locations or separate entities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building consensus and engaging non-financial stakeholders. A proactive, grounded work ethic and the ability to work independently across various on-site locations. Must be a local candidate capable of regional travel within the Portland area.
