Job Description

Summary:
At CRO Medical, our strength is in how we deliver leading-edge medical products and support to customers, and we're proud to set the standard for success in our industry. CRO Medical is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager to manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations for CRO Medical and AIRO, a closely integrated medical device business. This position is employed by CRO Medical and will work across both businesses, with responsibility for maintaining accurate books, managing accounts payable and receivable, supporting budgeting and financial reporting, and helping leadership maintain clear visibility into financial performance. The role will work closely with executive leadership and receive support and technical oversight from a fractional CFO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities across CRO Medical and AIRO. Own accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and payment tracking. Maintain accurate and timely records in QuickBooks and related financial systems. Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Support month-end close and preparation of financial statements and management reports. Track actual spending against approved budgets and provide regular budget-to-actual reporting to leadership. Prepare cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other recurring financial reports. Coordinate purchasing and payment workflows to ensure transactions follow established approval processes. Support inventory, cost of goods sold, and other operational accounting activities as needed. Work with the fractional CFO on accounting policy, financial controls, forecasting, tax coordination, and other higher-level finance matters. Assist with improving accounting systems, processes, and internal controls as the businesses grow. Support annual budgeting and other financial planning activities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across two closely connected businesses in a hands-on environment.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience preferred, including hands-on responsibility for bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close. Experience in a small or growing business, manufacturing, inventory-based business, or multi-entity environment is a plus.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and general accounting principles. Ability to independently manage recurring accounting processes and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. Ability to prepare clear financial reports and identify material variances or issues. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across two businesses. Comfort working directly with executive leadership and enforcing established financial processes. Strong Excel skills; experience with Odoo, Priority, or other ERP systems is a plus. Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential financial information. Ability to communicate clearly, ask questions when needed, and work effectively with both financial and non-financial team members.
Work Environment:
This role is based in an office environment in Missoula, Montana and works closely with leadership and operating teams. The position requires regular use of computers and accounting systems and may occasionally involve work in warehouse or production areas.
Job Type:
Full-time Compensation:
$90,000-$115,000 per year, depending on experience.

Work Location:
In person or hybrid, candidate must reside in the greater Missoula, MT area and able to commute at least three days per week. $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
