Accounting Manager (Controller-Track)

Ownership Position Overview Were looking for an experienced Accounting Manager whos ready to step into something bigger than a traditional role. This position is built as a Controller-track opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants real ownership, visibility, and a clear path to expanded financial leadership. Youll run day-to-day accounting operations while elevating the functiontightening controls, improving reporting, and building audit-ready financials under

U.S. GAAP.

Over time, this role will naturally expand into broader oversight of the close process, audits, and financial structure consistent with a Controller-level position. If youre someone whos been executing at a high level but hasnt yet been given the reinsthis is that opportunity. What Youll Own Accounting Operations & Accuracy Lead all core accounting functions: AP, AR, payroll coordination, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close Ensure financials are accurate, timely, and completeno surprises Act as both a working manager and technical resource across the team Maintain clean, reliable data to support decision-making and growth Step in where neededthis is a leadership role, not a delegate-only role Controller-Track Responsibilities Build and maintain audit-ready financials and supporting schedules Strengthen internal controls and close discipline Prepare for and support external audits as a primary contact Partner directly with ownership on financial review and insights Gradually take ownership of close oversight, reporting structure, and controls Process Improvement & Systems Standardize workflows and reduce key-person dependency Improve documentation across all accounting processes Identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions Elevate the clarity and usefulness of financial reporting Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff Set expectations, hold the line on performance, and build accountability Foster a team that values accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement Work cross-functionally to resolve issues with a company-first mindset What You Bring Strong technical accounting foundation (GAAP) Multi-entity experience is a plus Advanced Excel skillsyou dont just use it, you leverage it Experience with accounting systems / ERP platforms Ability to operate as both a doer and a leader Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing competing priorities Clear, confident communicatorespecially with ownership A proactive mindsetyou fix problems instead of working around them Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA strongly preferred 57+ years of progressive accounting experience 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role

Compensation & Benefits Salary:

Paid Sick Leave:

885 E Bakerview Rd. Must be able to be onsite within 24 hours when needed. This means you need to be local to the area.

Note:

Both locations are active construction & demolition recycling site. Expect truck traffic, dust, and noise in that environment.
