Job Description

The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a manufacturing organization. This role will lead month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger activity, accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and cost accounting while partnering closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong manufacturing experience who can improve processes, provide accurate financial reporting, and help leadership understand the financial performance of the business. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, cash management, and reconciliations . Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and account reconciliations. Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, variances, and cost of goods sold . Partner with operations and supply chain to analyze labor, material, overhead, and manufacturing costs . Monitor inventory valuation and investigate discrepancies or variances. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Analyze operating results and provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Support audits, tax preparation, and other external financial reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, reporting, and controls. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, HR, and Executive Leadership . Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience in manufacturing, medical device, healthcare products, or another regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and general ledger accounting . Experience with inventory and cost accounting . Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems. Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work hands-on while also serving as a financial partner to leadership. Preferred Experience Medical device or healthcare manufacturing Standard costing and manufacturing variances Inventory valuation and cycle counts ERP implementation or system improvements Budgeting and forecasting Internal controls and audit support Process improvement and automation Multi-site manufacturing accounting Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
