We offer fully furnished, professionally managed temporary housing solutions for corporate clients, relocating employees, government and business travelers, and individuals requiring flexible extended-stay housing in the Mid-Atlantic area. About the Role The Accounting Manager will be an important member of the company's finance team with primary responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice verification and discrepancy resolution, performance reporting, and related accounting administration. This position includes reconciliation and reporting responsibilities that are essential to the success of a growing company. This is an excellent professional position for someone who has developed a solid accounting foundation and is now looking for greater responsibility, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to understand the financial operations of an entire business. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and receive hands-on mentoring. Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounts payable, identifying and resolving discrepancies with vendors prior to payment and ensuring all payments are timely and accurately recorded
  • Assist with accounts receivable, facilitating each client's unique invoicing requirements and billing schedules
  • Research billing questions and resolve discrepancies by evaluating supporting documentation and working with internal team members
  • Work with apartment community staff to set-up payment portals, ensure accuracy of initial and reoccurring payments and reconcile monthly statements
  • Manage company's insurance policy for individual apartments, ensuring apartment communities have required proof of insurance
  • Ensure expenses are properly allocated to individual apartments and clients
  • Prepare weekly past due receivable report and coordinating with internal team members to ensure the best strategy for resolution
  • Assist with banking and account reconciliations
  • Review credit card transactions and expense documentation
  • Actively support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Assist with financial reporting, sales performance tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and other accounting projects as requested
  • Help improve accounting and administrative processes as company grows
  • Maintain organized electronic records and ensure financial documentation is compete, accessible, and accurate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
  • Approximately four to seven years of professional accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience
  • Solid working knowledge of basic accounting principles, chart of accounts, ledgers, and financial recordkeeping
  • Experience with Quickbooks, NetSuite, or similar accounting platform preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepances rather than simply process transactions
  • Ability to correspond with clients over phone and email in a friendly and professional manner

  • Base salary: $72,000-$77,500
