Job Overview Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST) is seeking a driven, organized, and collaborative Financial Aid Manager to establish and lead our fully functional Financial Aid Office. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations & Registrar, the Financial Aid Manager will oversee all student financial aid processes, ensure federal/state regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional service to current and prospective students. Responsibilities Build, structure, and manage daily operations of the Financial Aid Office. Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations governing financial aid administration and title funding. Provide guidance to prospective and current students and families on aid eligibility, application procedures (FAFSA, loans, grants, scholarships), and repayment plans. Manage student financial aid packages, perform verification processes, and coordinate disbursements. Implement modern software solutions and efficient workflows to streamline financial aid processing and improve student service response times. Work closely with Admissions, Finance, and the Registrar's Office to support student enrollment, retention, and satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned.
2-3 years of progressive experience in higher education financial aid, with demonstrated management or leadership capabilities. Strong technical working knowledge of federal financial aid programs, regulations, and reporting software. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong technical proficiency with Student Information Systems (SIS) and modern office software. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, adaptable mindset.
